The Anagarika project is a not-for-profit, publication which explores modern Buddhism, with a non-sectarian approach. Abedhasasana[Pali](Non-Schism teaching)

Analog photo journal. Buddhism in the modern era from the perspective of an artist turned wandering mendicant.

Anagarika is in reference to Anagarika Govinda, or rather his usage of the ancient Pali term. Adopting it as a title to represent his life path as a renunciant, artist and adventurer. Likewise the title was adopted by his beloved life partner Li Gothami, who was a photographer, writer and composer. The term denotes an urge for exploration and love for the Dharma, and in both cases an intention to use creativity to share it. Gotami used photography as a tool to spread the Dharma. These 20th century Buddhist Artists provide a new modern context for the term.
